Working with the Prince William County Soil and Water Conservation Office we have been fortunate to have been voted the Grand Winners of the Clean Water Farm and Bay Friendly Farm Award for the entire Potomac River Basin by the Virginia State Assembly.
This is considered to be a very special award and we are quite proud of the accomplishment. We would never have been considered if it were not for the nomination from the Soil and Water Conservation Office and all the help they have given us in setting up our stream buffers, crossings and automatic waterer’s.
We also are appreciative of the help we get from Audubon in our stream monitoring which we do four times a year. With their help we can watch the benefits of our water conservation practices first hand.
Finally, we would never have completed this project without the tremendous help we received from our family. We are so grateful for all they did and this award belongs to them as much as to us. We Thank You All.
